Transmorgraphy, archival prints
Using her own photographs of landscapes, flowers and historical artifacts, Janice cuts, blends and paints in Photoshop with an approach that reflects Old Master composition and lighting. Transmorgraphy is a new process of conceptualizing a surrealist space through the digital transformation of photography by cutting, pasting, scaling, masking, blending, transforming, warping, painting and adjusting color and value resulting in an archival transmorgraphic print.
Transmorphology is the aesthetic experimentation with forms and images in a manner that is magical and transformational of reality – a surreality.
