The Timekeeper’s Aviary imagines a time where time, memory, and movement coexist. Golden birds holding tiny turquoise berries ride the wind against a blue sky as their presence acts as a fleeting expression of freedom, transformation and the passage of time. Below, a canoe is carried forward bearing a globe scattered with stars while eyes bobbing within the waves give witness to a moment beyond the boundaries of ordinary reality.
Five photographs were digitally cut, blended, warped, and painted including golden birds from the British Museum, a canoe with waves from the Birmingham Museum of Art, a globe with stars and a sculpture of Atlas holding a globe at the Wilanów Palace in Warsaw Poland, and my eyes against a blue sky from Madrid.
